Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

Student Drop Off (Mornings)

  • 7:45 AM - 8:20 AM: Students who have a specific purpose (Biology, morning help sessions pre-arranged with teacher, scheduled music or athletic practices) will enter the building in the Bus Lanes. (BLUE line on map below) Students will enter through the bus lobby and report to their class or practice. The bus lobby doors will close at 8:20 AM.
  • 8:50 AM - 9:20 AM: The normal morning drop-off will shift to the front entrance of the building. (RED line on map below). We are no longer using the side entrance. All students not scheduled for an early morning activity should not enter the building before 8:50 AM. The doors will open at 8:50 AM when teachers arrive for morning car duty.
  • If your student arrives after 9:20 AM, you can drop your student off at the school’s front entrance. Students will be allowed in the building and receive a tardy note to take to their teacher. Please do not park your vehicle in the road at the front lobby entrance.

 

Student Pick Up (Afternoons)

The afternoon car rider line uses the same traffic pattern as the morning drop off. We encourage all parents to use the standard car rider line, or send students home on the bus.

Parents who wish to utilize the tennis court lots for afternoon pick up should park their cars, then walk across the driveway and meet their child, who will be waiting in the grass near the upper sidewalk. Students will not be permitted to leave the OMS campus unless accompanied by an adult.

Students may:

  1. Ride the bus.
  2. Be picked up in the standard car rider lane at the front of the school (same process as AM drop off)
  3. Wait in the OMS front grass, supervised by teachers, until a parent walks across the driveway to escort them to the car at the tennis courts.
  4. No students will be permitted to walk from Osborne unaccompanied.
