Cell Phones
Osborne MS recommends that students leave their personal electronic devices (phone, ear buds, air pods, headphones, smart watches, smart glasses, etc.) at home, as Chromebooks are provided for instructional use.
If a student brings a device to school, it should be turned off and stored in their backpack throughout the school day. Phones should be "off and out of sight" for the entirety of the school day, including upon entering the building. Teachers and administrators may issue behavioral consequences should the devices not be "off and out of sight". Medical exceptions should be pre-arranged with the clinic worker and the grade level AP.
Students are responsible for the security of their cell phones. If a personal device of any kind is lost or stolen, the school is not responsible for restitution nor are we obligated to investigate. If a student needs to contact home for any reason, they may do so from any office within the school. Parents may call the appropriate grade level office should they need to contact their student.

Chromebook Fees
Please note that incidents of damage or loss do not reset each school year. Fees are effective July 1, 2024.
