Yearbook Club

Meeting Dates:

We meet at 8:15 AM on the LAST Tuesday of each month. Meetings will be held on the following dates: 

• September 29
• October 27
• November 17
• December 15
• January 26
• February 23
• March 30
• April 27
• May 18

Mrs. Martens Room (1.314/computer)

Mission:

To give students an opportunity to foster interests in their school community and to help them learn how to utilize and/or expand skills associated with publishing a school yearbook

Description of Activities:

The Yearbook Club will map and implement all of the activities required to plan and create the OMS Yearbook: Ascending Heights. Students will learn about photography, interviewing, storyboarding, Photoshop, and computer skills.

Student Requirements:

Interested students must have some computer, writing, and/ or photography skills. All students must complete and sign a club application form. The student application and forms are due to Ms. Pruitt no later than Friday, September 11th. After all applications are submitted, application decisions will be emailed to parents. Students will be expected to attend at least 90% of meetings, which will take place on Tuesday mornings at 8:15am unless otherwise announced. Students will have to provide their own transportation.

*Club members’ parents must also complete a video release form for the school year in which their child will participate in the Yearbook Club.

Cost:

Club/ Staff members are asked to pay a fee of $30 via MyPaymentsPlus to cover t-shirts and additional club supplies.
