Volleyball

Mission:

The mission of the Osborne Middle School Girls Volleyball program is to teach, develop, organize, manage, and offer our players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Volleyball while instilling life lessons and values that educate students on the importance of character, accountability, respect, and sportsmanship.

Eligibility:

Only academically eligible 6th - 8th grade students are allowed to participate in tryouts, practices, exhibitions, and game events.  Academic eligibility is determined on the first day of the semester and is based on students having passed 5 of 6 courses the previous semester.

Description of Activities:

An informational meeting will be held on April 15th, at 5:00 PM in the OMS Cafeteria. Email Coach Andrews with any questions.

Tryout Information:

Tryouts will be: Rising 6th Graders, May 1st, 4:30-6:30, Rising 7th & 8th Graders, May 4th, 4:30-6:30 in the OMS Gyms.

Invitational Call Back May 5th and May 6th, 4:30-6:30. OMS Gyms. Please note that Call Backs are ONLY for invited athletes. Players will be notified via the parent email listed if they are invited back to attend callbacks.

To participate in tryouts, players must have a physical uploaded to RankOne.

Practices:

The Volleyball season will be a 10 game season. All games will be after school on weekdays. There will be an opening tournament in August, and all away games will have transportation provided to and from the location.

Practices will be weekly on 2 of the non-game days before school starting the first week of school. Drop off is at 7:30, and practice starts at 7:45. There will also be summer practices that are not mandatory but recommended for bonding. 

There is a $375 athlete fee that is due once the team is announced and must be paid before July.

The schedule will be announced over the summer.

Osborne has implemented a Card & Mobile Payment Only ticketing policy at all athletic events. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online through Osborne’s GoFan Page or the GoFan app.

This ticketing policy allows Osborne to operate a more efficient and professional ticket gate while creating an enhanced fan experience. Purchasing tickets online allows fans to easily access and share tickets (email or text) without standing in line.
