Principal's Message
Dear Osborne MS Families and Community,
It feels like I've come home.
I am honored to serve as the newly appointed principal of Osborne Middle School. I grew up in New England, and graduated from both UGA and Georgia State University. I have served GCPS for 27 years as a teacher and assistant principal, including 12 years at Glenn C. Jones MS as a member of the Mill Creek community. I've also served at Lanier MS and most recently at North Gwinnett MS.
At Osborne, our vision is "to empower all students to SOAR". What does that mean? It begins with students being Safe, On-Task, Accountable, and Respectful.
We also need to be mindful of the direction in which we SOAR. We must inspire each and every student to SOAR towards excellence each and every day, both academically and behaviorally. Osborne MS has a long-standing tradition of excellence, thanks to the highly effective leadership of John Campbell and Kenney Wells. I am honored to serve as the 3rd principal in the history of the school, which opened in 2004. Through our District's Blueprint for the Future, we will work together to build a bridge from Empathy to Excellence.
I look forward to connecting with you throughout the year at school and community events. I invite you to introduce yourself and say hello. Your partnership is vital to the success of our school community, as we work together to support and inspire our students toward a successful and impactful future.
Dr. Doug Callahan
Principal, Osborne MS
